, I Offer a CHALLENGE to the Swimming Community: Coaches, Swimmers, Athletes, and all fans of the sport. It seems like Flotrack has us beat for workout videos, which is unacceptable in my book. WE NEED TO RAISE OUR BAR and as swimmers we always do.My goal is instead of pressure on Garrett and the rest of the floswim crew, we post at least 1 new workout everyday. The more workouts we see of different variations the better we can help USA swimming in general. If you go back to an earlier interview Garrett had with Bowman pre-Olympics, he says the success of USA swimming is that we're all doing different things.
Wouldn't we do even better if we all share that? Everyone has cameras, and as a current Age Group Coach, kids love to film everything. Let's start filming our workouts and sharing it online!!! It will help the sport grow in popularity, but also educationaly. Swimmers will be exposed to new thoughts, but more importantly coaches will new methods.
BOTTOM LINE: Let's Not put all the pressure on Garrett and the rest of his staff to produce the videos we all want to see. Start making your own video and post it. No matter what your team does, WE WANT TO SEE IT, with everything a team can learn to do something!
